Tweelin Achieves SOC 2® Type 2 Certification – A Bigger, Stronger Proof of Trust

We’re thrilled to announce that Tweelin has successfully completed its SOC 2 Type 2 audit and received our independent auditor’s report. This is a major step beyond our earlier Type 1 milestone and validates that our controls didn’t just look good on paper at a single point in time, rather, they operated effectively over a sustained observation period.

What this means (in plain English)

      • Type 1 vs. Type 2: A Type 1 report confirms the design of controls on a specific date. A Type 2 report examines how those controls actually performed over months, providing a higher level of assurance for customers and partners evaluating security, availability, confidentiality, processing integrity, and privacy controls (collectively, the AICPA Trust Services Criteria).

      • Why it matters: Type 2 is often a prerequisite for mid-market and enterprise procurement. It shortens security reviews, unblocks deals, and offers stronger proof that our practices are consistently enforced, not just documented.

Highlights of the certification

      • Independent audit against the AICPA SOC 2 framework.

      • Operating effectiveness validated across the audit window, demonstrating consistent, repeatable security practices.

      • Enterprise-readiness: Meets the expectations many legal, security, and procurement teams require before deployment at scale.

Together with our ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, this milestone strengthens Tweelin’s end-to-end trust posture for global customers.

What changes for customers and partners

      • Faster vendor diligence: Provide your teams with our SOC 2 Type 2 report to streamline reviews.
      • Stronger assurance: Confidence that Tweelin’s controls are not only well-designed but proven in day-to-day operation.
      • Scalable governance: Reinforces Tweelin’s readiness for stringent enterprise requirements alongside ISO 27001.

Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between Type 1 and Type 2?
Type 1 = a snapshot of control design at a point in time.
Type 2 = design and operating effectiveness over a period (typically 3–12 months), providing greater assurance.

Which Trust Services Criteria are covered?
Security is always in scope for SOC 2. Additional criteria (such as availability, confidentiality, processing integrity, and privacy) are included based on customer needs and audit scope. Ask your Tweelin representative for the specific scope included in our latest report.

Can I get the report?
Yes. We can share the full SOC 2 Type 2 report with customers and qualified prospects. Contact your Tweelin representative and we’ll enable secure access.

Our commitment going forward

Security and reliability are never “one-and-done.” SOC 2 Type 2 is a rigorous bar that we intend to keep meeting and raising through continuous monitoring, regular control testing, and ongoing improvements to our policies, training, and platform operations. For a broader view of our security program, see our ISO 27001:2022 announcement and resources.
